DANG GUI

Mã sản phẩm: SKU-0505012026

Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis), widely known as Chinese Angelica Root, is one of the most important medicinal herbs in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), renowned for its exceptional ability to nourish and regulate Blood while promoting healthy circulation. With over a thousand years of clinical application, Dang Gui remains a cornerstone ingredient in classical and modern TCM formulations.

From a TCM perspective, Dang Gui is sweet and pungent in flavor, warm in nature, and enters the Heart, Liver, and Spleen meridians. It is traditionally used to tonify and harmonize Blood, regulate menstruation, relieve pain, and support overall vitality. Modern pharmacological research supports these functions, identifying key bioactive compounds such as ligustilide, phthalides, ferulic acid, and polysaccharides, which contribute to improved blood circulation, neuroprotection, anti-platelet aggregation, antioxidant activity, and immune modulation.

Dang Gui is especially valued in women’s health, where it supports menstrual regulation, alleviates dysmenorrhea, and addresses Blood deficiency when used appropriately. Beyond gynecological applications, it also plays a role in cardiovascular support, post-stroke recovery, digestive balance, skin health, and general physical weakness.

With a strong scientific foundation, long-standing clinical credibility, and broad therapeutic scope, Dang Gui represents a premium herbal ingredient for TCM-based products and integrative health solutions, meeting both traditional principles and modern quality standards when sourced and formulated responsibly.

  • Assists in lowering blood pressure and preventing atherosclerosis.
  • Protects myocardial tissue after myocardial infarction, limits myocardial fibrosis, and improves cardiac function.

II. Nervous System

  • Improves and enhances cerebral circulation, alleviates headache, supports recovery after ischemic stroke, reduces infarct size, and improves post-stroke neurological deficits.
  • Exhibits antioxidant effects, protects neurons, reduces neuronal apoptosis, and improves memory and learning ability.
  • Supports vascular dementia and provides adjunctive support in Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Alleviates neurasthenia due to Blood deficiency, improves poor sleep quality and insomnia.

IV. Respiratory System

  • Treats cough due to Qi rebellion and asthma.
  • Alleviates symptoms of bronchitis and nourishes the Lung.

V. Digestive System

  • Moistens the intestines, promotes bowel movement, treats constipation due to Blood deficiency.
  • Treats abdominal pain due to deficiency-cold and poor digestion caused by Spleen deficiency.
  • Treats chronic diarrhea, dysentery, and bloody–purulent stools.

VI. Gynecological and Reproductive System

  • Regulates Blood and menstruation; treats irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and abnormal uterine bleeding outside the menstrual period.
  • Supports treatment of infertility; assists in prenatal and postpartum disorders; relieves postpartum abdominal cramping.
  • Treats Blood deficiency in women, promotes uterine relaxation, and ensures smooth Blood circulation.

VII. Musculoskeletal System

  • Treats numbness and pain of the limbs, cold hands and feet.
  • Treats muscle spasms, arm numbness and pain, and rheumatic pain.
  • Treats traumatic injuries caused by falls.

ECOLOGICAL VALUE OF CHINESE ANGELICA

Beyond its therapeutic value, Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels) has distinctive ecological characteristics, particularly in temperate mountain ecosystems:

  • Mountain Habitat Adaptation: Chinese Angelica primarily grows in temperate climates, especially mountainous areas with suitable temperature and moisture conditions, contributing to local vegetation diversity.
  • Soil Microbial Interactions: Its rhizosphere hosts bacterial and fungal communities involved in nutrient transformation. Microbial composition influences plant growth and medicinal root quality.
  • Continuous Cropping Impacts: Repeated cultivation can disrupt rhizosphere microbial balance, reduce soil nutrient availability, and increase disease risks, particularly root rot.
  • Agroecological Applications: Crop rotation with suitable species can regulate soil microbial communities and improve soil conditions, supporting sustainable medicinal plant production.
  • Genetic Resource Conservation: Root harvesting generally removes the plant, making propagation, germplasm conservation, and reduced overharvesting of wild populations important.

Chinese Angelica provides medicinal value and ecological significance through its mountain habitat associations, rhizosphere microbial interactions, and genetic resources. Sustainable crop rotation and soil management help minimize negative environmental impacts.
